On occasion we do take on commercial projects.  This one: tenant’s improvements of a brand new space in the Riverwalk Center on Cliffe Ave.

Our clients had specific needs due to the sensitive nature of their mortgage business and the needs of their clients and underwriters.

Partitioning the space was the most interesting challenge.  The architectural design had placed windows where they made sense to the visual balance of the exterior of the building.

However, this made partitioning the interior space to the needs of the owners a challenging feat.  Given the office dimensions requested, partition walls would abutt the windows.

The creative solution we proposed was to project the window profile into the partition walls, creating more light and openness of space while maintaining the privacy and security needs of the client.

Nicola at Blackthumb created a modern scheme featuring glass sliding doors specifically requested by the owners.  The space also includes an accessible washroom with a shower.
