Of primary need to the owners was increased space for wheelchair access.
After concept designs of a building alteration proved to be unfeasible, a new construction approach was agreed upon.
Ample space was provided on the main floor for wide hallways and doors, and living spaces were made comfortable and easy to navigate.
One main concern was to have a comfortable shower that was easy to use for both owners: one in a wheelchair and the other not. Also requested were vanity sinks with easy to reach faucets.
The builder made sure to include features like easy to reach switches and outlets, automated exterior doors, and other accessibility features that made this house inot their home.
“We had some special requirements in that our home had to be fully wheelchair accessible. Rod did extensive research to understand our needs. He was creative and responsive. “
